The past owners saw the potential of this perfectly situated guesthouse and added to it around 20 years ago ensuring all modern amenities were included. Penny and Gerhard have since added their own style, menu and cultural overlay.
It sits at 1130m conveniently on the main pass through the valley and is also en piste. Built on the sunny side of the valley with Dienten ski school and Sonnberg ski lift direct from the house, the house is a perfect launch for either summer berg wandering and exploring or for the ultimate ski in and ski out vacation.
With its own parking and bus stop at the front door, it is an ideal base for not only exploring the valley, but also the greater Salzburger Land.
If skiing or mountain hiking is not your cup of tea, then simply take in the panoramic Hochkoenig views from the large sun terraces, dine on regional and international cuisine from the traditional themed restaurant, enjoy a drink from the house bar or join in the fun and make new friends in the apres ski bar, Q-Bar, during the winter months.
All rooms have views from their balconies, shower/WC, TV, radio and telephone. The house offers private parking, buffet breakfast, half pension in Winter, Sauna and Solarium and fitness area plus it has its own spring water.

Penny and Gerhard aimed to make the house feel cosy and relaxing and yet there is a sense of fun and contemporary mixed with traditional décor.

They have partnered with Trumer beer to offer Salzburg’s finest, Lavazza coffee and an extensive wine list including Austria’s best from makers such as Leth, Nikolaihof and of course, a few good Aussie wines from Penny’s favourite vineyards downunder.
